Successful Redesign of Windsor Front Garden

We have now completed the successful redesign of a front garden in Clewer Hill Road,Windsor for an elderly gentleman who is delighted with the results. The garden is designed to be low maintenace and a lawn has been replaced with slate dressings in contrasting colours with colourful plants such as Phormium 'Jester' planted through a weed proof membrane. We have also designed a new brick wall for the road frontage with specially designed railings that will be built in the new year when the weather is better. Please enjoy our images below.

New Designs for Birch Green Staines Completed!

We have just completed the updated designs for Birch Green which is an attractive green space and village green in the heart of Staines Town Centre. We are helping the council with a public consultation event aimed at the residential and business community in the new year so that the proposals can be finalised . The new visualisations, masterplan and River Ash proposals are pasted below. Any comments are welcome.

Quantified Tree Risk Assessments Licence Holder

Yesterday we completed a Quantified Tree Risk Assessment training course in Cambridge. This provides a system for assessing the degree of risk presented by diseased and defective trees. We are also now licence to carry out tree risk safety assessments for our clients using the QTRA system. Licence certificate is attached. Exciting designs completed for Mr & Mrs Johal's rear garden

We completed a garden design for our client's Mr and Mrs Johal rear garden in July 10 years after we completed a successful design for their front garden. The design was very well received and we looking forward to helping to achieve its implementation. Toby Goodger, Practice Principal, awarded professional certificate in Arboriculture

Toby Goodger, the principal of Goodger Design Associates, has now been awarded the professional technicians certificate in Arboriculture having achieved good marks in the eight units that make up the qualification. We now have achieved professional credibility to enable our practice to carry out arboricultural consultancy work for our clients whether they are individuals or organisations. We have been completing tree conditions surveys to BS 5837 (2005) on development sites for several years and now can complete safety audits and risk assessments related to trees.

Open Squares Weekend London 12 June

Karen and I had a fun day visiting several gardens and squares in the West End of London for Open Squares weekend sponsored by Transport for London. We visited the garden of apartment 1A at Kensington Palace where Princess Margaret lived-it is a very tranquil space with an attractive Trompe l'oeil archway along the back wall. Much of the garden was planted up by Roddy Llewellyn, Margaret's partner. We also visited the gardens and courtyards known as Abbey Green at Westminster Abbey. All these lovely gardens are very well maintained as can be seen from these images.

Landscape Scheme Created for Old Court Hotel Site, Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England


We have completed a prestigious landscape scheme for the Old Court Hotel Site in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. The developer has planning permission to build 11 luxury apartments on the site and requested our services to prepare a landscape scheme that will feature the planting of several semi mature Hornbeam and Cherry trees along the frontage and communal and semi private gardens for the new residents. The apartments will go on the market shortly. The scheme drawing is attached along with an aerial view borrowed from Google Earth

Successful Masterplan Created for Birch Green Site in Staines

We recently presented our masterplan design for Birch Green in Staines, Middlesex to council officers and local residents. The attached plans and visualisations were received very favourably. The next stage is obtain consents and to put together a funding package for its implementation.
