Toby Goodger, Practice Principal, awarded professional certificate in Arboriculture

Toby Goodger, the principal of Goodger Design Associates, has now been awarded the professional technicians certificate in Arboriculture having achieved good marks in the eight units that make up the qualification. We now have achieved professional credibility to enable our practice to carry out arboricultural consultancy work for our clients whether they are individuals or organisations. We have been completing tree conditions surveys to BS 5837 (2005) on development sites for several years and now can complete safety audits and risk assessments related to trees.

Open Squares Weekend London 12 June

Karen and I had a fun day visiting several gardens and squares in the West End of London for Open Squares weekend sponsored by Transport for London. We visited the garden of apartment 1A at Kensington Palace where Princess Margaret lived-it is a very tranquil space with an attractive Trompe l'oeil archway along the back wall. Much of the garden was planted up by Roddy Llewellyn, Margaret's partner. We also visited the gardens and courtyards known as Abbey Green at Westminster Abbey. All these lovely gardens are very well maintained as can be seen from these images.
